The Shanghan Lun Lines Retreat caps your many years of study of the Shanghan Lun based on the Tian Family tradition. We will study each line of the text with a detailed commentary and discussion by your instructor Arnaud Versluys, PhD. The instruction is based on Dr. Versluys’ almost two decades of research of the Shanghan Lun and will quote extensively from late lineage holder Zheng Guanglu’s personal notes on the Shanghan Lun. This is a rare opportunity that should not be missed, especially considering that this event only visits each continent every 6 years. In other words, the next Shanghan Lun Lines Retreat in North America will not be until 2025! The seminar consists of 6 hours of seminars, for ten days straight, thus conferring 60 NCCAOM (pending), and California (pending). Early bird pricing is available until April 7th , 2019! ICEAM cancellation policy: Cancellation before March 31 st , 2019: full refund minus $250 administration fee Cancellation before May 1 st , 2019: full refund minus $750 administration fee Cancellation after May 1 st , 2019: no refunds More information about retreat reservations, the resort venue Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and securing hotel reservations can be found here: 2019 […] |

The Shanghan Zabing Lun or the Treatise on Cold Damage and Complex Diseases is considered the forefather of all formula books. The original work was lost to the tooth of time, but most of its contents are preserved in two extant works called the Treatise on Cold Damage shanghan lun and the Concise Essentials of the Golden Cabinet jingui yaolue. The first work primarily addresses externally triggered disorders while the latter work describes the pathology and treatment of complex diseases generated internally. |
