The Portland branch of the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine is the headquarters of ICEAM and governs all of ICEAM’s activities globally. ICEAM Portland is responsible for all lectures and clinical training offered in the Pacific Northwest.
ICEAM Portland is run by Dr. Arnaud Versluys personally. The institute has offered the Canonical Chinese Medicine Training™ continuously in Portland since 2008, rotating through Shanghan Lun and Jingui Yaolue sequences. Portland ICEAM has graduated a large number of Diplomates and offers continuing clinical training for alumni.
ICEAM Portland in the past hosted the Annual Zeng Rongxiu Shanghan Lun Conference. The third and last such conference was held in 2011. Other seminars hosted by this branch include the annual graduate-only Advanced Seminars as well as the biannual Shanghan Lun Lines Retreats. Though organized and hosted by ICEAM Portland, aforementioned seminars are sometimes held in cities other than Portland.
All courses offered in Portland are recognized as Continuing Education Units (CEU) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Some courses may also qualify as Professional Development Activity (PDA) credits for the State of California.
All weekend training seminars are held at Lewis and Clark College (https://www.lclark.edu/).
Advanced Training seminars are commonly hosted at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (http://www.ocom.edu/).
