Hello everyone, I could really use some advice on this case. 35-year-old female, compains of cold hands and feet, sluggish and hard-dry BMs which turn into full-blown constipation before her menstruation. Then constipation resolves and strong, unbearable menstruation cramps start before her menstruation. Strong bleeding for 3 days with bright blood, but dark clots. When talking in front of an audience, she used to flush, but now she has difficulty breathing (but no chest bind).Frequently complains of weak wrists and joint ache in her fingers, when pressing her hand together. Used to have Raynaud’s.I managed to resolve the joint ache, hot feet at night, part of the menstrual cramping and weak wrists with 1. CHGZGJT – HQn + GZFLW + TBC, 2. DGSNT, 3. DCHT before the menstruation reduced constipation while she took it but not the cramps, 4. DGSYS (each 2 weeks of granules) which reduced the cramps considerably. Remains unchanged: strong bleeding with clots, constipation, no thirst, feeling cold, cold hands and feet, difficulty bending and stretching her hands, occasionally red skin patches on her chest with a rash. I cannot make ends of her cold Taiyin symptoms combined with a constipation. The pulses: L roll heart-kidney, all deep thin and sl wiryR sl cun tight, guan sl bigger wiry (used to be bigger but DGSYS almost leveled it out with L guan). Could this be a WJT or WZYT (the pulses do not seem particularly tight though)? Thanks a million, croud brain!

You could go back to DGSNT and add TR, HH and DBC.Otherwise, you may have to anchor Yang with GZJNT.Doesn’t sound like the pulse is asking for WZY.

Thanks Tim… I don’t make my own formulas, so will look to having this made up. I thought you needed hypochondriac symptoms for SNS? Forgot to mention that his is reddish with a dry slightly yellow coat

Why do the hands and feet get cold in GZJNT? Why is it called Jiu Ni Tang?

Yang floating up and out, leaving a cold Earth behind? Jiuni is reversal? It is not a jueyin formula, is it?

Strictly speaking it is a jue yin formula, because as soon as you have reversal that is jue yin.

But here if you say the pulse shows ht/kid, and they have cold hands and feet, and yin collapsing down (heavy bleeding) then thats what you need to treat
