Joe Recsnik received his undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University, and holds a Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Emperor’s College, both in Los Angeles, California.
He started his Canonical Chinese Medicine training with Dr. Arnaud Versluys in San Diego in 2012, and received his certification as Diplomate in 2014.
He subsequently completed further ICEAM clinical training and after successful clinical examination was designated a Clinical Fellow of the Institute in 2024.
Joe has been in private practice since 2007 and is the founder of POPULUSS Classical Eastern Healing Clinic and Herbal Pharmacy in Los Angeles, where he works as herbalist, licensed acupuncturist, and herbal pharmacist. He has also served previously as professor in the Department of Traditional Asian Medicine at Life University in Gardena, California, and as an instructor of Tai Chi Chuan at Loyola Marymount University.
Joe has organized and hosted several ICEAM clinical trainings in Los Angeles since 2014, and is currently spearheading an effort to organize a Southern California based ICEAM cohort starting in 2027/28.
